Section 1 - Drumshanbo to Carrick-on-Shannon

​​​​​​​​​Make a Splash! A stunning 16.5km route along the idyllic Lough Allen Canal and River Shannon.

​​​​This serene paddle allows visitors to experience the delights of the waterways, as well as the rich and diverse culture and heritage of the Shannon in County Leitrim. Enjoy this paddle with two short half-day experiences or with one full-day experience. Canal with cruiser navigation, Grade 1 flat water to Battlebridge Lock, Grade 1 moving water downstream from Battlebridge Lock, potentially Grade 2 in flood water. Acres Lake is exposed to wind.
